  • Reviewing 508 compliance for apps submitted to the Change Board for approval until the ITD staff are competent to do this themselves.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • B.S\B.A degree in computer science or a related field and 7+ yrs experience, or 10+ years of experience in a related field. Drupal experience required.

  • Experience reformatting, reorganizing, and rewriting existing content for a different platform with different rules and policies.

  • Ability to learn and use NOAA Fisheries website business rules and policies.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for video, audio, documents, and other file types commonly used in web-based content.

  • Experience bringing complex scientific or technical documents into 508 compliance. Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe files preferred.

  • Experience executing quality assurance for web content to ensure compliance with institutional and 508 standards.
