About the role Essential Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Receive repair orders from advisor or dispatcher Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform necessary repairs Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required Notify internal service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required Notify internal service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised Document work performed Road-test vehicles when required Attend factory-sponsored training classes as required Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times Know, understand and follow all federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes and inspection of vehicles Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor Other duties as assigned by management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required ASE Certification preferred Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment Capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively Ability to communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external customers Have strong organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented Be self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with little supervision Have the ability to work individually and in a team environment Basic computer knowledge Must be comfortable sitting, standing and/or walking for long periods of time Professional demeanor Must be able to meet company99s employment requirements Qualifications 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required Strong skills in diagnostics, electrical, and engine repair Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting abilities Proficiency in electronic diagnostic tools and basic computer systems Friendly, positive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement Team player with strong communication skills Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment Job Details Seniority level : Entry level Employment type : Full-time Job function : Engineering and Information Technology Industries : Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Why work with us?
