Job Description:
Provides assistance to customers who wish to purchase parts at the parts counter or via telephone. Orders, receives and distributes equipment parts on behalf of customers.
Responsibilities:
• Complete purchase orders and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Utilize industry data – including manuals and electronic data – to determine specific parts needed by customers, as well as diagnostic assistance to customers
• Contact vendors to order parts
• Review invoices to ensure parts received accurately reflect parts ordered on original requisition forms
• Store parts in designated area and issue parts to service department/customers as needed
• Maintain records of parts received and distributed; inventory parts in warehouse periodically
Education/Experience/Skill:
• Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college/technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
