Welcome to Basin Dermatology, a leader in medical and cosmetic dermatology services in Midland, Texas. Basin Dermatology is looking for a experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN to be the first face that our wonderful dermatology patients see when they walk in our friendly office!

Salary : $18 - $22 per hour

Schedule : 7:30a to 5:30p Monday - Thursday and one Friday a month

Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during patient exam and treatment
• Interview patients to obtain medical information
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record patients' medical history, medications, allergies and vital statistics in medical records.
• Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing a patient for treatment
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician following safety protocol of right dose, right patient, right route, right drug and noting expiration date
• Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physicians' instructions to patients.
• Help providers examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections and removing sutures.
• Under Provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.

Required Skills Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN Qualifications

• MUST HAVE one (1)+year experience in a medical setting
• MUST HAVE the social skills to interact with patients 
• MUST get along with others in the work place
• MUST be able to work on your feet for 8 hours
• MUST be motivated with an outgoing personality 
• CMA or LVN required
