About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Brand Marketing and Communications Officer (CBMCO) to lead the elevation and transformation of its brand in the wake of a historic expansion. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader responsible for developing and managing the brand promise, and activation, and designing breakthrough storytelling and fan engagement opportunities. This role is pivotal in shaping and amplifying the brand and reputation of the organization, particularly as it prepares for a significant increase in scale, visibility, and cultural impact. The CBMCO will be tasked with modernizing and fortifying departmental policies, procedures, and organizational effectiveness, as well as growing and protecting the brand in a rapidly changing collegiate athletics landscape. Key responsibilities include setting the vision and strategy for brand marketing, integrated strategic communications, and overseeing the brand's integrated, data-driven marketing efforts. The ideal candidate for the CBMCO position at the company will have a proven track record in brand building, performance marketing, and effective integrated communications. They will be expected to lead a team, manage partnerships, and maximize revenue opportunities through enhanced sponsorship ROI and fan engagement. The role requires a leader who can proactively manage the brand's narratives, including sensitive issues, and develop crisis communication plans. The CBMCO will also be responsible for consumer and market insights, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation in sports media, technology, and fan behavior. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to engage stakeholders, design brand architecture, and deliver brand impact that drives fan engagement and increases the organization's visibility as one of the most relevant and talked-about properties in sports.
